issues with remarriage

Avoid issues with remarriage

Due to us all living longer these days, remarriages and co-habiting following death ore divorce amongst the over 50's are on the increase. This has led to an increase in child disinheritance. Our surviving spouse meets someone new and obviously the home and assets get shared with that new person, which means they have a claim on at least half of those assets. so, if the new partner survives longer and inherits everything - our children get less than we wanted or nothing at all! Plan early to avoid this by using a Property Protection Trust Will or Family Asset Protection Trust.

care fee planning

Future care fee planning

As many of us now live longer, then we may find that we need care and support in later years due to old age or illness. If we do need long term care and we have any assets worth over £23,250, we have to pay for that care ourselves, meaning we have to use our hard earned home and savings resulting with our children inheriting very little or nothing at all when we eventually pass on. But, it's quite possible to plan our estates now, well in advance, using Property and Family Asset Protection Trusts to keep some or most of our hard won assets, especially our home within the family, so that our liability is vastly reduced. But, early planning is vitally important, don't leave it too late to plan.
