Lasting Power of Attorney

A WILL IS NOT ENOUGH

Make sure YOU choose who looks after your affairs if you lose legal capacity. Make sure it's someone you trust such as family or friends. Without an LPA your affairs could be controlled by The Court of Protection. Their fees are quite high and you or your family may disagree with their actions and decisions. Make sure that your affairs  are dealt with in the manner that you choose, by people that you've chosen.

Why a Lasting Power of Attorney?

Kevin Simmons will help you create a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA), You choose which of your family or friends you trust to help and support you with affairs.

There are two types that are designed to be taken together. One is for Property and Finance and the other is for Health and Welfare. Taken together your chosen Attorney can then deal with your Bank, Council, other financial institutions and also your Doctor, Social Services and Care Homes etc. The fee to register each LPA with The Office of the Public Guardian is £82 per document.
